What is a Beat Pack?

A Beat Pack is a collection of high-quality sounds that captures a certain theme—be it genre, mood, cultural- or artistic influences. It consists of different instrument loops that are designed to mix well together and serve as the building blocks of your arrangement.

How can I record vocals?

You can record vocals in any other recording software you want. Just download the master or stems from Overtune and you’re good to go.

Does Overtune have a mobile app?

Yes, Overtune is available on iOS, though syncing between browser and app is not supported at the moment. 

Can I mix together loops from different
Beat Packs?

Yes, you can mix loops from compatible Beat Packs. This feature is currently not available on iOS.

Can I use Overtune with a producer?

Yes! You can use Overtune to structure your song idea and then export the stems and keep working on it with your producer. 

Can I upload my own loops?

Not at the moment. 

Licenses

Are all Overtune loops royalty-free?

Yes. Note, however, that distributors may still require that you disclose the use of any licensed third party material in your creative work, even if they are royalty-free.

Do I lose my licenses if I cancel my Overtune subscription?

No. You retain the licenses for all loops you’ve downloaded while you had an active subscription. However, you will not be able to export stems or master audio files from Overtune unless you have an active subscription and will not be able to access projects created with PRO Beat Packs. 

Are all Overtune loops non-exclusive?

Yes. Currently all loops you find in Overtune are non-exclusive. This means other users can also use the same loops as you without infringing on your creative rights.

Can I use Overtune loops for commercial purposes? 

Yes. As long as you don’t violate the Terms of Use
